Web Design Rates

Because every website project is different from all the others, I do not offer packages for "x" number of pages and features. I have found that some customers need more assistance planning their website and developing content. Others have prepared their text and have a clear idea of what they need. There are other variables, also, such as designing images or working with photos.

Because of these unknowns, I charge some services by the hour, others are a flat fee. My hourly rate is $40. I offer a 15% discount to churches and non-profit organizations. Below are some possible situations to help you get a feel for what I might charge. They are only examples and not guaranteed to apply to any customer or situation.

  • A six page website, logo and photos submitted, content already prepared by the client: $450
  • WordPress installation, custom theme, 12 pages from existing site converted to WordPress system, 4 hours work on graphics/photos: $660
  • New website, multiple hours of consultation, help with content writing, 10 pages, domain name assistance: $1,150

After talking with you about what is involved in developing your website, I will submit an estimate showing covering the work we have discussed at that point. Few web design jobs end up following the estimate exactly! Discussion, of course, is always welcome, but of course, extra features or additional pages will result in additional charges.

  • Unique titles for each page
  • Assistance adapting your material into appropriate web content
  • Uploading and web host set-up
  • 30 days of minor adjustments

For an additional charge, I can help you with site submission to search engines and directories such as Google, AltaVista, Yahoo, and MSN.
