No Templates

No other business, group, church or purpose is exactly like yours. Your website should be one-of-a-kind, also. Many web design companies buy templates from established web designers or use template-based software instead of designing a unique layout for each new customer. Using templates means your content is squeezed into an existing mold. I provide custom site designs built around the text and particular features of each site. This is also true when using a CMS; even though WordPress and other content management systems use themes, all are highly customizable.

What do you need to provide?

• Your desired content or rough page(s) outline for each page. Existing brochures, annual reports, program flyers can help me get a feel for your business or church and its structure and organization.

I will correct obvious spelling/grammar mistakes and typos, and suggest minor editing as part of normal design work. You are responsible for insuring the accuracy of the text that you supply for inclusion on your web pages. I can help you adapt your printed materials for the web, but involved text re-organization, substantial editing or writing help will involve extra charges. I assume that whatever material you provide is in accordance with copyright law.

• Existing graphics, logos, letterhead on printed material you already use;
• Your approximate preferences for color and the style or character of your website
• Photos or clip-art you would like included; the creation of 2-5 graphics per page, depending on their size, complexity and impact on the design, are included in per-page rates.
• For custom logo design or branding assistance, my partner, a professional graphic designer, charges $75 per hour.
